In der heutigen Zeit gibt es auf dem Büchermarkt kaum noch Neuerscheinungen zum Thema Blaudruck. Dieses Thema gerät langsam in Vergessenheit. Nur ein Großverlag aus England hat vor ein Paar Jahren ein wunderschönes Buch mit dem Titel „Indigo“ rausgebracht. Ich habe das Buch sogar bei der Blaudruckerin Frau Folprecht-Pscheida durchblättern können. Es ist ein sehr schönes, kostbares Buch mit vielen Bildern, aber leider gibt es da fast ausschließlich asiatische Textilkunst, die europäische wird nur am Rande erwähnt. Nun habe ich mich im Internet nach älteren deutschen Büchern umgesehen und siehe da, es gab sogar eine große Auswahl! Einige habe ich bestellt. Jetzt sind sie alle gekommen und es macht mir eine große Freude darin zu schmökern.
Zwei Bücher berichten über den Blaudruck in Hoyerswerda und es macht mich gleich traurig, dass es diese Werkstatt nicht mehr gibt. Auch von einer Werkstatt in Leipzig ist die Rede, diese existiert auch nicht mehr. Daran kann man diesen unsäglichen Trend der letzten Jahrzente zu immer weniger europäischer Textilkunst, immer weniger Traditionen und immer mehr globale Mode erkennen.

At the present time there are hardly any new publications about blue-dyeing on the book market. This topic is slowly disappearing into oblivion.A few years ago a major publishing house in England brought out a wonderful book called „Indigo“. I browsed through the book on my visit at the Blue-dyer Frau Folprecht-Pscheida. It is a very beautiful and precious book with lots of pictures, but unfortunately it is almost exclusively about Asian textile art, the European art is only mentioned in passing. So I searched the internet for earlier German books and lo and behold, there was even a great choice! Some I ordered and now they have all come and it gives me great pleasure to browse through them.
Two books describe the blue-dyeing in Hoyerswerda and it makes me sad that this workshop is no longer there. Also a workshop in Leipzig is mentioned, and that also does not exist anymore. It shows that this unfortunate trend in recent decades towards ever less European textile art, fewer and fewer local traditions and an ever increasing interest in the global fashion.
