Vor etwa 10 Tagen gab es einen Tag der offenen Tür in der Blaudruckerei Folprecht. Weil ich wieder neue Dilians Handtaschen plane, mussten wir an diesem Tag auch die Pulsnitzer Blaudruckerei besuchen. Von Pulsnitz aus ist die Blaudruckerei Folprecht bei Dresden nicht so weit und so konnte man beide Termine eben gut verbinden.
Es hat sich auch wirklich gelohnt, denn es war ein wunderschöner Samstag Nachmittag. An dem Wochenende gab es nämlich auch öffentliche Wanderungen in Coswig und so haben einige Wandergruppen auch eine Zwischenstation in der Blaudruckerei Folprecht eingeplant. Mit viel Interesse verfolgten die Wanderer die tolle Blaudruck Präsentation von Frau Heidi Folprecht-Pscheida und ihrem Ehemann Hartmuth.
Auch ich selber schaue mir den Entstehungsprozess des Blaudrucks immer noch sehr gerne an und bin nach wie vor von dem Geschick, der Kunst und Geduld der Blaudrucker voll begeistert. In der Blaudruckerei Folprecht war ich zwar schon einige Male, aber erst diesmal habe ich die Indigo Färberwerkstatt gesehen und nicht nur das, es gibt in Coswig sogar noch eine große und funktionstüchtige (Jahrgang 1938) Stoffmangelmaschine.
Und zum Schluß möchte ich mich noch bei den Eheleuten Folprecht-Pscheida für ihre Gastfreundlichkeit bedanken, es war sehr schön in Coswig und wir kommen (mit einem nächsten Auftrag) sicher bald wieder!

About 10 days ago there was an open day in the Blaudruckerei Folprecht. Once again I am designing new Dilians handbags, and so we were visiting the Pulsnitzer blue-dyer on this day. From Pulsnitz to the Blaudruckerei Folprecht in Coswig is not far, so it was convenient to connect both appointments together.
It was well worth it, because it was a beautiful Saturday afternoon. At the weekend there was a public walking day in Coswig and so some groups had planned a stopover in the Blaudruckerei Folprecht. The walkers followed the blueprint presentation of Mrs. Heidi Folprecht-Pscheida and her husband Hartmuth with much interest.
Even I still very much love to look at the process of creating blueprint and I am still totally thrilled by Heidi’s skill in art and patience. I was indeed quite a few times in the Blaudruckerei Folprecht, but this was the first time I saw the indigo dyer’s workshop and not only that, there is even a large and functional (made in 1938) mangle ironing machine in Coswig.
And finally I would like to thank Mr and Mrs Folprecht-Pscheida for their hospitality, it was very nice in Coswig and we will certainly come (with the next order) back soon!
