Diese vielen Spulen sind ein Augenschmaus und ich staune, wie viele Fäden für das Weben eines Stoffes mit gewebten Mustern notwendig sind! Was passiert, wenn irgendwo ein Faden reißt?

All these bobbins are a feast for our eyes and I am amazed how many threads are needed to weave patterns into a cloth! What if a thread breaks somewhere?
Ich stelle fest, dass das Weben eines Stoffes ganz schön kompliziert und aufwendig ist. Man müsste es wieder zurück in unser Unterbewusstsein holen, damit wir unsere Textilien viel höher wertschätzen und deren Entstehung jedes mal hinterfragen. (Etwa so, wie bei der Schokolade und der Lila Kuh – auch hier ist die echte Kuh vollkommen unsichtbar…)

I realize that the weaving of a cloth is very complicated and time consuming. We must bring this back into our subconscious mind, so that we always value textiles and their production much higher. (As in the chocolate advertisement with the Purple Cow – the real cow here is also completely invisible …)
